1. Manage a diverse and exciting portfolio of construction projects, ranging from heritage sites to cutting-edge developments.
2. Ensure compliance with building regulations and statutory requirements, working with homeowners, developers, architects, and contractors.
3. Carry out inspections and assessments across various stages of construction, focusing on safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
4. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, becoming a trusted partner in achieving their project goals while safeguarding public interest.
5. Play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to team-wide improvements and innovation.

About you
We seek an experienced and enthusiastic professional who shares our passion for excellence in building control. You will bring:
1. Registration with the Building Safety Regulator as a Building Inspector Class 2.
2. Strong knowledge of building regulations, including fire safety, accessibility, and energy performance.
3. Proficiency in examining Principal Designers' plans, conducting site inspections, compiling detailed reports, and maintaining accurate records.
4. A proven ability to manage projects and deliver outstanding customer service.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
7. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel across our partnership area is required.

Details
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week. Flexible working options available.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: GBP 40,476 - GBP 45,781 per annum (City Pay Band 6), pro-rata for part-time.
Location: Flexible - on-site or remote, with offices in Huntingdon, Cambourne, and Cambridge.
