Position: Chef
Reports to: Home Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and prepare nutritious daily meals for residents.
2. Ensure all food purchased is fresh and within budget.
3. Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards.
4. Lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff.
Skills and Attributes:
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various techniques.
* Understanding of nutrition and menu development for dietary needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Qualifications:
* Food Hygiene Certified – Level 2 (willing to pursue Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications).
* First Aid Certified.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
