About This Role
As we strive to provide even better service to our customers, we are seeking a new driver to join the team, initially on a 6-month fixed term basis. This role will be based out of our Belfast terminal and will require daily travel, delivering gas to our customers. Therefore, excellent customer service and safety standards are a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain continuous communication with the distribution office to meet customer requirements.
* Provide excellent customer service as per bonus criteria.
* Inspect the vehicle before and after use, following statutory requirements and company maintenance checklists.
* Load and unload the tanker and fill customer-owned tanks as assigned.
* Maintain accurate records and vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed.
* Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
* Comply with all applicable laws regulating safe driving and handling of hazardous materials.
* Immediately notify the Logistics office of any malfunctioning equipment or conditions requiring immediate action, and follow up with the Terminal or Maintenance Manager.
* Adhere to company practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
* Comply with all legislation relevant to driving an HGV.
* Participate in all Health, Safety & Welfare Training offered, including wearing PPE and supporting your Health and Safety Representative.
* Actively identify hazards during duties, take appropriate action to remove and report them to the Manager.
* Conduct yourself professionally with colleagues and customers, fostering strong working relationships.
* Complete all tasks to the highest standard and to the best of your ability.
* Carry out all reasonable tasks and requests as assigned by the Distribution Office.
* Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks during your working day.
* Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding company information.
* Strictly follow the Flogas LPG Road Tanker Drivers Manual, Company Work Instructions, and all related Health & Safety policies.
* Comply with Tachograph regulations and the Working Time Directive.
Role Requirements
To perform this role successfully, candidates should possess:
* A minimum of ten years verifiable driving experience.
* Valid Driver CPC Card.
* Clean Category E + Driving Licence (no endorsements).
* ADR Licence.
* Industry and product knowledge, especially handling hazardous products, is preferred.
* Excellent safety record.
* Good customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
* Familiarity with logistics technology and onboard computer systems.
* Highly organized, efficient, and eager to provide excellent customer service.
* Adherence to all safety requirements in all work environments.
