The Role
Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89.38 per day (based on experience/qualifications)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time or flexible/part-time options available
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups with additional needs
* Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual abilities
* Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and specialists
* Contribute to EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and IEPs
Who We're Looking For
* Graduates or students in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Childhood Studies, or similar
* Experience with children or young people (paid, voluntary, or personal)
* Passionate about supporting children with SEN
* Calm, empathetic, and a good team player
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
