A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Configuration Engineer to join a growing engineering function and support the control and governance of complex product data.
This role performs the duties of configuration management and reports to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the control, governance and maintenance of product data across multiple key business products
* Interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for complex product assemblies
* Preparing and managing Configuration Management documentation for project governance
* Managing and implementing design changes across multi stakeholder environments
* Preparing and presenting change documentation within formal change control meetings
* Supporting supplier audits to ensure Configuration Management standards are met
* Ensuring accuracy and integrity of engineering data, drawings and CAD models
* Using PLM tools (ideally Windchill) to manage configuration activities
The ideal candidate would have:
* Experience within a Defence or Aerospace engineering environment
* Familiarity with Configuration Management principles
* Background in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management
* Exposure to supplier engagement or audit activity
* Experience using PTC Windchill or similar PLM systems
The ideal candidate must have:
* Evidential experience interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials
* Experience managing engineering design changes in a multi stakeholder environment
* Strong attention to detail with integrity in handling engineering data
* Strong team working and communication skills
