The Director of Business Development, Life Sciences is responsible for managing growth and development of new business while building customer relationships and providing strategic direction to help grow revenue and profit for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for company sales growth target depending on company AOP.
* Maintains a sales pipeline consisting of enough qualified prospects to meet quarterly sales goals through our CRM tool.
* Provides realistic forecasts to company management and communicates any significant changes or developments in a proactive and timely manner.
* Owns the account management and territory plans and works closely with the SVP of Life Science to implement strategic sales plans.
* Designs and delivers sales presentations at all levels of potential client organizations.
* Manages the RFP process through completion by working closely with the Operations Team.
* Draft and negotiate all new SOW and MSA agreements.
* Supports the implementation of new clients and works closely with the Operations Team to transition client responsibilities accordingly.
* Maintains open and formal communication regarding market conditions, competitive situation, and client’s evolving business requirements.
* Represents company at trade association meetings, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
* Sales or business management experience in the BioPharma Life Science Laboratories space preferably selling large asset management and service program deals.
