Join Our Team as an Accounts Payable Account Handler!

At Sysco GB, we’re on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our dynamic Accounts Payable Team as an Account Handler. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of suppliers, resolve queries, and engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of 2 days in our Ashford office each week. As this may evolve, we prefer candidates who are within a commutable distance to Ashford.


Your Key Responsibilities:

* Take ownership of managing allocated supplier accounts.
* Resolve parked invoices (those that don’t match approved Purchase Orders) by collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments.
* Conduct timely reconciliations of key and ad-hoc supplier monthly statements, effectively addressing any discrepancies.
* Assist suppliers professionally, balancing their needs with those of Sysco GB Limited through phone and email communication.
* Build and nurture professional relationships through effective business partnering.
* Manage and respond to mailbox queries within agreed timelines.
* Meet key weekly and monthly Accounts Payable KPIs.
* Provide coverage for key supplier accounts in the absence of colleagues as needed.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.


About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Previous Accounts Payable experience or relevant finance team experience.
* Strong communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and the ability to write clear, articulate emails.
* The ability to prioritize workloads and perform well under pressure while using initiative to achieve KPIs and SLAs.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookups/Pivot Tables).
* Familiarity with SAP is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.
