A well-established hire company is looking for a proactive and organised individual to manage and drive performance within their depot workshop based in Bournemouth.The Role:As Workshop Foreman, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the depots workshop to ensure maximum availability of plant for hire. Youll be responsible for managing a team of workshop engineers, maintaining health and safety standards, ensuring efficient servicing and repairs, and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Ensure no more than 5% of the fleet is under repair at any timeMaximise availability of Top 50 equipmentPlan and oversee maintenance schedules, service records, and repairsManage workshop staff, delegate workloads, and support with training and developmentMaintain a clean and organised workshop and yard areaMonitor plant breakdowns and off-hire inspectionsEnsure company vehicles and plant comply with manufacturer and legal standardsOrder parts within authorised limits using Smart Office systemUphold all health and safety regulations and enforce safe working practicesWhat We're Looking For:Proven experience in a similar Workshop Foreman or Supervisory role within plant hire or a related industryStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a teamSound mechanical knowledge of plant and machineryExcellent organisational and communication skillsCommitment to health and safety best practicesWhats On Offer:Competitive salary of £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experienceOpportunity to lead a high-performing team in a respected depotCareer development and training opportunitiesInterested?
