Here at Bracknell Forest Council, we are always looking for better ways of doing things. Network Recovery Facilitators provide assistance on a short-term basis using relationship building; graded exposure; confidence building; anxiety management and motivational techniques to support individuals experiencing mental ill-health, and their carers, on their recovery journey. As well as help to access and attend appointments around benefits; housing; education; volunteering; employment; social activities and life after network support, to gain independence and help prevent episodes of mental ill-health that warrant secondary care or bed-based provision.

To engage with people using a strengths-based approach to assess their own needs and develop a person-centred plan of support, working together with carers, family and friend networks, health professionals and statutory and voluntary services.

What we’re looking for…
The role requires a dynamic and committed individual who has a firm understanding of mental ill-health, experience of working with the community and voluntary sector and who can engage with a wide range of people, including carers.
The ability to run groups and peer support programmes.
The ability to use your creativity to identify innovative solutions when supporting individuals to access community assets to keep clients engaged and can work proactively both using your own initiative and as part of a team.
