The Research Fellow in Computational Multi-Omics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, led by Prof. Nick Powell, investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms responsible for intestinal inflammation and the dialogue between intestinal microbes and host immunity using advanced bioinformatic approaches.
You will lead and undertake research of the highest quality in the broad areas of bioinformatics and systems immunology.
You will:
1. Have a PhD in bioinformatics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience
2. Be an expert data scientist with proficiency in analysing transcriptomic and other omics datasets.
3. Have expertise in RNA-sequencing analyses, including bulk, single cell and spatial
4. Be an expert in machine learning, NGS data analysis, pathway and network analysis, gene module identification and computational methods to study gene function.
