Overview
Experienced Loading Shovel Driver/Plant operator - IMMEDIATE START. Covering holiday and sickness - ad-hoc role. Forklift License is a bonus. Monday to Friday - 07:00 - 17:00. £14.62 ph. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Loading Shovel & 360 Driver.
Responsibilities
* Operate Loading Shovel
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
* Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
* Assist the yard supervisor with the general running of the yard, including:
o Enforcing Health and Safety
o Loading/unloading vehicles
o Organising traffic
o Keeping the production line running
o Covering breaks
Qualifications
* Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for operating heavy machinery
* Valid commercial driving licence with experience
* Proficiency in operating loading shovels and excavators
* Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
* Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction and excavation environments
* Previous experience in a similar role or related field is preferred
* CPCS license required
* Forklift license is a bonus
