CareTech is recruiting for a Children’s Home Registered Manager in Runcorn, United Kingdom. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 DOE plus £5,000 annual OTE bonus. Closing date: Monday 29 September 2025.

Responsibilities
* As a Registered Manager, ensure your home is rated at least “Good” by Ofsted
* Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person
* Build and lead the team, coordinating recruitment and induction, planning personal development for staff
* Foster consultation with young people about the care they receive
* Allocate Key Workers and implement care plans
* Maintain high standards in line with quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose
* Handle complaints and child protection concerns
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to promote welfare
* Participate in care planning and review meetings
* Maintain a safe culture and a financially managed home aligned to budget
Essential Requirements and Experience
* Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care
* At least 2 years’ experience in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
* Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at application; if not held, must be enrolled on Level 5 within 6 months of starting
* Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements
* Skills: Planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and team leadership
* Communication: Strong written and spoken communication
* Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
* Driving license: Full UK license
