In this role of Year 6 Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel confident and supported. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they are prepared for SATs and the transition to secondary school. Track and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and interventions where needed. Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders to meet individual learning needs. Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing. Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times. What You’ll Bring as a Year 6 Teacher: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching in KS2, particularly Year 6, or strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) potential. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning. Strong classroom management, organisation, and communication skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
