Ward 203, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Specialty Ophthalmology
Band 5 Full Time 37 hours per week, day/night rotation, Permanent post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen, motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Ophthalmology team in ward 203, ARI. This post will provide the opportunity to develop professionally in the specialty of Ophthalmology through local/ national supported training.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate individual who is keen to learn and develop their nursing knowledge and skills within the specialty of Ophthalmology. The suitable candidate must have excellent communication skills and be keen to work in our pleasant, hardworking and dedicated team.
Ward 203 cares for both elective and unscheduled Ophthalmology patients. Providing care pre and post operatively, providing care for ongoing investigations and therapies and the assessment and treatment of presenting ophthalmic emergency conditions.
Previous ophthalmic and surgical nursing experience would be preferred.
Experience in preceptorship and assessor/supervisor role for student nurses and junior staff also required for this post.
