We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee the full project lifecycle, from estimating and tendering through construction to final account. Working across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors, you will lead the delivery of both new‑build and refurbishment projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to exceptional quality and compliance standards.
This role is ideal for a commercially aware, technically strong individual who can effectively manage teams, engage with stakeholders, and maintain full control over project performance from tender to completion. Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of multiple electrical projects from estimating and quotation to final completion ensuring projects are delivered to programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Conduct site surveys and price a wide range of electrical projects, preparing and submitting competitive tenders and quotations for works ranging from small works through main projects. (typically, £100k–£1m+)
Manage multiple projects simultaneously across a diverse range of sectors, including refurbishments, new builds, and small works
Provide leadership and clear direction to project teams, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain.
Work closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to confirm project requirements and expectations.
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations, including accurate material take-offs.
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and specialist subcontractor installations.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.
Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, technical submittals, change orders, and handover/close-out information.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
Support the pre-construction team with surveys, meetings, and tender activities.
Experience & Skills
Experience as an Electrical Project Manager within domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
Time-served electrician with strong technical knowledge.
Proven track record managing electrical projects from the beginning to completion.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
Competent in project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams.
Excellent organisational and leadership capabilities, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications & Knowledge
Fully qualified time served approved electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (5 Years experience preferred).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification
Strong understanding of NICEIC processes, certification, and compliance standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
Experience in electrical inspection, testing, or compliance-focused roles.
Knowledge of construction environments.
Full UK driving licence.
ECS card (Gold or Black)
NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor status C&G 2391 (advantageous).
Willingness to develop into the role of NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
Estimating experience desirable.
