Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients and visitors professionally and warmly, answering and triaging telephone calls, ensuring the reception area is clean, organised and adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies. You will be booking appointments for patients and handing out prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquires for patients and completing the relevant paperwork. Other duties include scanning paperwork, answering emails, dealing with referrals and general admin duties.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting is desirable but full training will be offered for the role. Knowledge of computer systems and basic software applications is essential. The Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required. Also essential is a compassionate and patient focused attitude and the flexibility to work varied shifts, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
