Purpose of the role The role is part of the IAG Transform Legal and Compliance team (a team of 7) based in London and Krakow. The IAG Transform Legal and Compliance team is part of the wider Group Legal function with lawyers in London, Madrid, Barcelona, Dublin, New York and Krakow. Lawyer provides ongoing legal support for IAG Transform supporting the Group including Group Procurement and Procurement Operations. The role is focussed on commercial, IT and outsourcing contracts. Your responsibilities On-going legal support of IAG Transform’ Group Procurement teams (providing legal advice, participation in negotiation process, contract review) Liaison/co-ordination with IAG Legal Department and the Operating Companies (OpCos) Legal Departments in relation to jointly delivered projects and activities as required Creation and implementation of internal procurement procedures and policies Development of legal contracts templates, including ongoing support to digitise, innovate and improve ways of working closely with Procurement and technology teams Your skills, experience and qualifications Qualified Lawyer Negotiating skills Highly effective communication and influencing skills Fluent English written and spoken Experience of working with English language and English law contracts Experience of commercial, IT and outsourcing contracts (experience in aviation or other technology heavy sector is an advantage) in particular software licencing, software development and SaaS agreements.
