Salary: £58,000 – £64,000 + up to 10% bonus per annum
Working Location: Milton Keynes, 4 days in the office. Review after probation.

What you’ll be doing
* Ensure NHBC’s compliance with UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and controls.
* Prepare and analyse financial documents, focusing on insurance result management accounting.
* Develop and maintain financial models within the Finance department.
* Oversee tax compliance for various taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
* Manage, support, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
The ideal candidate will have
* Several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax
* Experience in tax return preparation (Corporation Tax, VAT)
* Solvency II experience
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, working with quantitative data and interpreting qualitative information
* Proficiency in Excel (up to SUMIFS, VLOOK, etc.)
* Knowledge of UK GAAP reporting
Education and Qualifications
* Membership of a professional accounting body
* Degree in a technical subject
