IDAM Engineer - Liverpool | Permanent Role - Hybrid

The Opportunity:
Join a highly regarded financial services organisation with a long-standing heritage and national presence. You will play a key role within the Technology function, taking ownership of identity lifecycle management and access governance using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
This is a high-impact engineering role where you will combine automation, security, and governance, collaborating closely with Information Security, HR, Compliance, and IT Operations teams.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Design and optimise Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) workflows using Entra ID Lifecycle Workflows
2. Develop automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and Azure CLI
3. Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and entitlement management
4. Conduct access reviews and recertification campaigns for sensitive access
5. Administer Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Just-In-Time access
6. Maintain directory hygiene, governance standards, and data integrity
7. Support audit and compliance activities (ISO27001, GDPR, ISAE 3402)
What You Will Need:
8. Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
9. Hands-on experience with identity lifecycle (JML), RBAC, and access governance
10. Experience integrating identity platforms with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors)
11. Automation experience with scripting (PowerShell or APIs)
12. Knowledge of PIM, Access Reviews, Conditional Access, and MFA
13. Experience working within regulated environments is preferred
14. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
15. ServiceNow experience
16. ITIL v4 Foundation
17. Microsoft certifications (SC-300, SC-200, SC-100)
