Overview
The Primary School is an exciting and busy place to be. They aim to provide a high quality of learning for their 340 children aged 4 to 11. Role
They are seeking to appoint a Caretaker for White House Farm Primary School. The role supports the school’s vision to give everyone the opportunity to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Hours are in a split shift format as per the attached job description and may change due to school events.
Responsibilities
* Undertakes premises inspections and risk assessments.
* Maintains site safety by understanding and applying Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
* Responds to emergencies and problems in a positive and systematic manner.
* Represents responsibility for the security of the premises, undertaking keyholder duties and being available to answer emergencies outside of normal hours.
* Undertakes an allocated level of cleaning alongside the site cleaners.
* Coordinates lettings three evenings per week until 8pm.
* Demonstrates willingness to take on new challenges and accept responsibility.
Qualifications
* Understanding of basic site management principles.
* Ability to carry out premises inspections and risk assessments.
* Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
* Ability to deal with emergencies in a calm, positive and systematic manner.
* Experience with security duties and keyholder responsibilities is preferred.
Hours and Salary
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Salary: 12,117 to 12,528 per annum for 20 hours; 21,205 to 21,924 per annum for 35 hours (FTE pro rata). SCP3 to SCP4 depending on experience.
Employment Type
Permanent, part-time (20 or 35 hours per week), flexible and subject to discussion, Term Time + 3 weeks.
