The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team developing software for RF communication and sensor‑based products.
You will contribute to the detailed design, implementation, and testing of software components, working closely with the Product Owner and System Design Authority as part of an agile software team.

Embedded software developmentFor candidates with previous team coordination or line‑management experience, the role may include responsibility for supporting and guiding team members, as well as contributing to performance discussions and allocation of work.
You'll work within a technically rich environment, supporting complex systems and contributing to the direction of the software being developed.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Contribute to the detailed design of software components
Implement and test software within an agile development environment
Build an understanding of existing electronic warfare (EW) system products and future development activity
Support planning discussions and technical activities within the agile team
Essential Skills & Experience
BEng/BSc or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Knowledge of sensor and communication systems
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from early concept to delivery
Understanding of modern software architecture practices
Experience with scientific applications or DSP, including algorithm implementation
Ability to work across multiple programming languages such as C++ / C# / Python
Comfortable working within agile methods (Scrum or Kanban)
Familiarity with software development tools such as GitLab, Git, and VS Code
Desirable Experience
Modern UI design
Embedded software development (cross‑compiling, deployment)
Linux OS tools and kernel driver experience
DevOps practices including GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, and Docker
Experience supporting a team or contributing to team coordination activities
