Role and Location
Role: Media Planning Manager
Reports To: Senior Media Lead
Location: Europe/Middle East/Africa, United Kingdom, England, High Wycombe
Work Location: Hybrid (High Wycombe 2025 / Reading 2026)
What You Will Do
* Lead media planning across the business, working with cross-functional teams (sales & marketing) and key media agencies to deliver best-in-class TTL media campaigns and drive best practice.
* Report to the Senior Media Lead; based at High Wycombe with hybrid arrangements.
* Design and optimise TTL media plans spanning digital, influencer, and offline channels to drive brand growth and ROI.
* Streamline and elevate ways of working between agencies and content partners to ensure campaigns are delivered with consistency, quality, and efficiency.
* Champion global playbooks and learning agendas, embedding best practices locally and feeding insights to global teams and partners.
* Support agency management and evaluations, driving innovation and value across media plans.
* Drive ongoing optimisation of internal/agency planning processes and collaboration across creative, media and content production partners.
Responsibilities
* Provide holistic support and guidance across media planning for the Northern European business for marketing and other functions.
* Support brands with media briefing, ensuring best-in-class, multi-channel campaigns applied across all plans.
* Assist brand teams in defining integrated comms briefs with key inputs (business, brand, consumer, content).
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, commercial, agencies and retailers to plan TTL media opportunities.
* Develop stronger media plans with appropriate partner selection, budget allocation and KPIs to maximise ROI.
* Lead budget decisioning, identifying savings and added value where possible.
* Share historical campaign learnings (audience, channel, creative performance) to inform brand plans and market intelligence & MMM.
* Build relationships with power partners (Google, Amazon, Meta, The Trade Desk) and manage JBP and spend commitments.
* Oversee content management between agencies, improving coordination between creative, media and content partners.
* Support influencer planning and investment strategies, integrating influencer activity within broader media plans and measuring ROI and brand impact.
* Scale global playbooks and learning agendas with key partners; apply best practices locally and share learnings globally.
* Monitor performance and provide feedback to continuously improve planning processes and partnerships.
* Support the Senior Media Lead in agency evaluations and recommendations to improve performance.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in media.
* Experience working with marketing teams, creative and media agencies to plan digital marketing campaigns across multiple online channels for national brands.
* Experience with media planning and analytics tools (e.g., Comscore, Mediatool, Quantcast).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders at varying levels.
* Well organized, focused and able to prioritise effectively.
* Strong analytical and data-driven thinking; creative problem-solving.
* Up-to-date with trends and methodologies in online marketing and measurement.
* Strong process and project management skills; able to work in cross-functional teams.
