KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Duties:
* Supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis within KS2
* Assisting the teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
* Helping prepare and organise teaching materials and resources required for pupils requiring support
* Assisting with classroom management, maintaining discipline and promoting positive behaviour
* Providing feedback to the teacher on students' progress and behaviour
* Assisting in assessing and recording students' work and achievements
* Collaborating with other teaching assistants and school staff to support the overall educational goals
* Attending staff meetings and training sessions as required
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics
* Relevant experience working with children or young people
* Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
* Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
Education:
* GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics
* Additional relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable
Experience:
* Prior experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (preferably with SEN)
* Experience assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students' learning
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of educational principles and learning strategies
* Familiarity with relevant teaching resources and materials
* Proficient in using basic computer applications and educational software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt and work effectively in a dynamic classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
