The Role

We are seeking to employ an energetic and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join the department. You will join an established and supportive team of colleagues, who aim to raise the aspiration of all students and support them to achieve their full potential.

You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for the subject and creative teaching, presence and personality. The Teacher of History role is suitable for ECTs.

* Qualification Title — Graduate and qualified Teacher Status Essential
* Degree in a relevant subject — Essential
* Skills — Evidence of appropriate professional development Essential
* Relate to and motivate students — Essential
* Possess good behaviour management strategies — Essential
* Experience/Knowledge — Experience of successful teaching as evidenced by adding value to student achievements Essential
* Have a thorough working knowledge of the curriculum as it relates to this subject — Essential
* Knowledge of examination syllabus requirements in specialist subject(s) at KS4 — Essential
* Understand how ICT can be used to enhance students’ learning — Essential
* Good level of ICT literacy, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email — Essential
* Personal Attributes — Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and to deal politely and tactfully with a wide range of people; Ability to work as part of a team; Reliable, honest and trustworthy — Essential
* Organisational Fit — Committed to safeguarding the welfare of young people; Ability to plan own work and work on own initiative; Ability to prioritise work to achieve deadlines — Essential
