The company specialises in subtle, lightweight wearables — technology so seamlessly embedded you wouldn’t know it’s there. With a successful product already in the market, they’re now entering their second iteration of hardware and embedded systems as they scale.
They’re looking to hire a full-time Lead Hardware Engineer, with a clear pathway to CTO within 12 months for the right individual.
🔧 The Role
* Lead hardware development across wearable and sensor-based products
* Own embedded electronics, PCB design, and firmware development
* Integrate sensors for wearable applications
* Support regulatory and certification processes
🧠 Technical Environment
* Embedded systems: ESP (current), moving toward Rockwell chips
* PCB tools: Altium Designer, EasyPC
* Wireless: Bluetooth Classic (ESP), Wi-Fi
👥 Team & Setup
* Small, fast-moving team (8 people)
* Majority onsite, with on-demand hybrid flexibility
* London-based office
💰 Compensation & Progression
* £70k+ base salary + meaningful equity
* CTO compensation expected to rise closer to £100k (targeting Q4)
* Significant influence over product and technical direction
