About the Role
Health Advisor in the NHS 111 service – the first point of contact for all users of the 111 service. You will work in a busy, friendly environment and receive structured training at our Hub in St Leonards.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive telephone calls and other contacts from members of the public and healthcare professionals requiring assistance and information.
* Handle all calls and contacts courteously, efficiently and in a way that best meets the immediate needs of the patient.
* Use excellent telephony and IT skills to record all information accurately and take appropriate action where required.
* Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all patient and Trust information.
* Participate in all audit and quality of service improvement processes.
* Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the Clinical Hub Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English.
* Passion for providing excellent customer service.
* Good communication skills; prior healthcare experience is not required.
* Availability to complete the structured training program (full‑time or part‑time).
* Current DBS (or DBS update service) and up‑to‑date picture ID for pre‑employment checks.
Training Schedule
Full‑time course: 37.5 hours per week – 1st week (15‑19 June), Monday‑Friday 09:30‑17:30; Weeks 2–4 (22 June‑10 July), Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00.
Part‑time course: 23.5 hours per week – 7 weeks (15 June‑31 July), Monday‑Friday 09:30‑14:30.
