You will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the academic and administrative functions of developing the gaming provision within our institution, ensuring it’s in alignment with our vision of putting our students and the heart of everything we do. The postholder will play in critical part in contributing to the overall strategy and LCCA’s pedagogic approach, with the aim to continuously strive for improvement in the delivery and structure of the gaming programmes ensuring student experience, student attainment, retention and continuation is achieved.
You will have a distinct skill set; a ‘can-do’ attitude - and should demonstrate the consistent ability to put the core elements of our learning and teaching philosophy into practice, both in the strategic implementation of experiential teaching activities and in the management of high-class teaching delivery.

Position:
UK Higher Education is evolving rapidly in line with changing expectations of students. London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) and its parent organization Global University Systems (GUS) is at the forefront of that change. In this role, you will be expected to develop and organise Academic Registry services and the resources allocated to the service to maximise benefits to the College and provide an excellent, responsive and proactive professional service for students and staff across the College.
Requirements:
* Lead the formulation of the Academic Registry’s department including strategy, staffing structure and resources in support of the College Strategy and ensure that service objectives are successfully met.
* Lead the design and delivery of excellent Academic Registry services across the student lifecycle from recruitment to graduation in a hub operating model and benchmarked against best practice in service delivery.
* Provide strategic leadership for the institution’s internal data reporting, delivering high-quality, detailed, and accessible reports that support statutory compliance and enhance student success
* Oversee the implementation of student data reporting systems to deliver improved services across the college for students, staff, and stakeholders.
* Ensure that Registry activities are well coordinated and planned, in line with the Colleges annual cycle of business and the need to maintain flexibility, and in particular:
o Ensure that processes relating to enrolment and re-enrolment are efficient, effective and robust, and support the College’s recruitment, admission and retention of students.
o Ensure that student assessment is well-managed; that processes are secure and fair; that assessment outcomes are correctly recorded; and that assessment boards are well-supported to enable them to function properly and fairly in maintaining academic standards.
o Ensure that teaching is well timetabled, with efficient use of resources and good and reliable information for students and staff, within agreed constraints relating to the student experience; and that time tabling for other events(induction and enrolment, assessments, and so on) is well supported
o Ensure that processes supporting the student journey are well documented, effective and efficient, and operated by a strong team working in tandem with administration, academic and leadership staff in the College.
o Design and implement systems and processes that will enable the college to independently manage and submit statutory data returns to external bodies, including HESA, OfS, HESES, Unistats, and other regulatory agencies as required.
o Be responsible for the accuracy, integrity and quality of student record data, to enable regulatory data return, and to produce management information data to support strategic planning and operational delivery across the College.
* In collaboration with other departments, through standing governance committees mainly (but not restricted to) Academic and Quality, be responsible for assurance of accuracy, integrity and academic quality and standards – including external examining, programme approval, review and quality assessment – are appropriate and effective, supporting the College in delivering excellent education and providing the necessary information to enable the College executive to fulfil their responsibilities relating to quality and standards.
* Lead the preparation, validation, and submission of statutory and regulatory returns related to the student record system, working collaboratively with colleagues across partner institutions whilst supporting student workload cases relating to student rights and responsibilities (e.g. academic misconduct, mitigation, academic regulations, etc.).
* In collaboration with other departments, through standing committees mainly (but not restricted to) Academic and Quality, ensure that collaborative provision is well supported, with robust assurance of quality and standards; effective support for the college in developing collaborative partnerships; and good support and advice in considering new and continuing collaborative partnerships.
* Internal data reporting, provision of Management Information for both internal KPIs and external benchmarks for the OFS conditions of registration and other regulatory returns.
* In collaboration with other departments, through standing committees mainly (but not restricted to) Academic and Quality, provide senior level advice on procedures and individual cases relating to student rights and responsibilities (e.g. academic misconduct, mitigation, academic regulations, etc.)
* Have oversight of important Ensure that the College contract with individual students in relation to academic matters is clear, fair and meets all necessary internal and external requirements (In collaboration with the partner body where applicable).
* Within the overall framework determined by the College, and consistent with the approach adopted by the SMT, to lead student information related IT projects, including student record, timetabling, system developments and enhancements; support other projects as required ensuring that the college has robust data systems appropriate for the needs of the Academic Registry services.
* Be the main contact for all aspects of student data capture, monitoring, and recording and maintain high standards of data quality and reporting.
* Be able to collate appropriate data from recognised and relevant sources, analyse, and interpret using established procedures, producing clear reports and insights as required.
* Lead the collection and analysis of student data with a particular focus on OfS indicators (including continuation, completion, and progression data), with the ability to compile comprehensive reports to the senior leadership team to inform institutional decision-making.
* Have the ability and experience to maintain Power BI dashboards that will help the college promote transparency and empower academic and professional services to make informed, data-driven decisions.
* Produce detailed data reports and procedures relating to academic performance such as academic workload models, student attendance, annual monitoring, enrolment patterns, and student intake trends.
* Be a significant member of staff in driving forward student success initiatives by providing data insights and outcomes.
* Work with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance with Office for Students (OFS) and ALL other relevant bodies.
* Ensure that an effective programme of training is offered on an ongoing basis to all members of registry staff, and specific stakeholders.
* Oversee effective communications with all stakeholders.
Specific duties
* Line manage senior staff in delivery of the above.
* As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you will be expected to play a full role across the whole range of the College’s activity in SMT meetings.
* Represent the College externally and internally in line with the seniority of the role and the needs of the College
* Take responsibility for on-going personal and professional development in line with the College’s needs and that of the role.
* In addition to the above areas of responsibility the post-holder may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the College and the seniority of the role.

Knowledge/Experience
* Extensive knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector and Registry services.
* Knowledge of the reporting requirements in relation to student administration placed upon UK universities by statute and by regulation
* Knowledge of governance issues in the higher education sector, and the regulatory and legal arrangements for UK College governance
* Proven experience in leading successful organisational change
* Extensive experience of working within a regulatory framework including Data management provision.
* An excellent understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of UK academic-related governance, regulations, administration and organisational management in an Educational Institution.
