Job Role: Dual Service Operative (Security & Parking)
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off - 10:00am-20:00pm / 8:00am-18:00pm on Sundays (average 35 hours per week)
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Location: Barnsley Retail Park, S71 1JE
Reporting to: Support Services Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Dual Service (Security & Parking) Operative to join our established contract based in a retail environment at Barnsley Retail Park.
The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Licence as a minimum. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that delivers high levels of customer service, security, and facilities management.
As a Dual Service Security and Parking Operative, you will assist with the overall running of the centre, working with the Service Supervisor and customers to meet company and client expectations.
Experience within a retail environment would be beneficial.
Duties include:
* Conducting regular patrols of car park locations to ensure vehicles comply with parking terms.
* Issuing Parking Charge Notices to non-compliant vehicles.
* Conducting site surveys and ensuring compliance with BPA AOS Code of Practice.
* Dealing with homeless individuals and vagrants, moving them on as necessary.
* Preparing and submitting incident reports.
* Issuing exclusion notices on behalf of the client.
* Providing customer service to car park users.
* Securing premises and personnel by patrolling, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
* Reporting irregularities to prevent losses and damages.
* Communicating effectively with the Parking Services Team and sharing site information.
* Completing reports by recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities, including witness interviews.
* Maintaining positive relationships with team members, management, tenants, and police.
* Adhering to company and customer policies and legal requirements.
* Carrying out any other reasonable management requests.
Requirements
* Full 5-year employment history.
* Valid frontline SIA licence (DS or SG).
* Customer service experience and conflict management skills.
* Flexibility to meet job requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Smart appearance and well-groomed.
* Reliable and punctual.
* High enthusiasm and passion.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
