Strathburn House is situated in Gairloch on the West Coast of the Highlands in Scotland and is part of the North Coast 500 area. It is an integral part of the local community. There are lots of activities nearby including the Torridon Hills and other notable walks and trails. Gairloch also has some beautiful beaches nearby such as Big Sands, Red Point Beach and the very well-known Gruinard Bay where water sports can be found. There are also opportunities to fish and try falconry as well as many other skills. In high season, there are lovely cafes and restaurants to grab a bite. The award winning Gairloch Museum is a must to learning more about the local history. Other interesting attractions are the old gun turrets at the end of Cove where you will find many World War II artefacts and information. Accommodation can be found in the local areas of Inverasdale, Poolewe, Aultbea and Gairloch, all very commutable via car.
Main duties of the role include -
* Responsible for cleaning in line with infection prevention and control procedures to ensure areas are safe for resident occupation
* Provision where applicable of a range of catering related duties e.g. making toast, setting up and distributing resident meals and beverages, assisting at meal service times.
* Responsible for ensuring the safe disposal/packaging of waste as per NHSS policy, e.g. Clinical Waste, Household Waste.
* Responsible for all required Documentation
* Linen Room/Laundering Duties
* Have the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Possess good communication skills, including non-verbal communication skills.
