We’re looking for a confident and customer‑focused Agri Sales Specialist to join our team. This is a key role in supporting our farming members and shareholders, promoting our full agricultural product portfolio, and driving sales within the branch. About the Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full‑time
Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working on a rota basis
As an Agri Sales Specialist, you’ll be the trusted partner for our farming customers, delivering tailored advice and solutions that make a real difference. You’ll work closely with retail and external agri sales colleagues to ensure every interaction puts the customer first and reflects our values.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively promoting agricultural products and services to members and shareholders
* Developing sales with existing customers and attracting new members
* Delivering honest, knowledgeable advice tailored to customer needs
* Using campaigns and promotional materials creatively to drive growth
* Staying informed about local market trends and competitor activity
* Managing customer records and ledgers to maximise opportunities
* Supporting seasonal planning and stock optimisation
* Attending sales meetings and training sessions to keep your knowledge current
About You
* Knowledge of farming and the agricultural/countryside marketplace (essential)
* Previous retail or sales experience (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong retail disciplines and a passion for customer service
* Good IT skills and ability to manage systems accurately
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Awareness of Data Protection/GDPR and Health & Safety standards
* You’ll be confident, proactive, and approachable, with a flexible and team‑oriented attitude.
* A willingness to learn and grow within a customer‑focused sales environment is key
