Your new role
As an IT Support Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues, providing responsive and effective support across a range of systems. You’ll manage incidents and service requests using ITSM tools, support users with Microsoft Windows and Office 365, and carry out tasks in Active Directory such as password resets and account unlocks. Your role will also involve troubleshooting network and remote access issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for staff across the organisation. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential flexibility to work from home one day per week.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Education & Certifications
1. NVQ Level 3 in IT or equivalent experience
2. GCSEs including English and Maths
3. ITIL Foundation certification
Experience
4. Proven background in a service desk or IT support environment
5. Hands-on experience with ITSM tools
6. Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows and Office 365
7. Familiarity with Active Directory functions
Skills & Attributes
8. Excellentmunication and customer service skills
9. Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
10. Basic knowledge of networking and remote access (VPN, DNS, etc.)
11. Ability to manage priorities and perform under pressure
12. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

Desirable Extras
14. Experience in NHS or healthcare settings
15. Knowledge of NHS systems such as NHSmail, ESR, EMIS, or SystmOne
16. Awareness of cybersecurity and data protection principles
17. Familiarity with remote desktop and support tools
