Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a part-time Business Support Administrator (to join the Business Support Team supporting the Children & Young People’s Service (CYPS).

The role will be based predominantly at the Children and Families hub in Ripon; however, cover may occasionally be required at the hubs based in Knaresborough and Harrogate.

The post is offered on a part-time, fixed-term contract until the end of 2026.

Working hours will normally be: 12:30 – 17:00 Wednesday, 08:30 – 17:00 Thursday and 08:30 – 16:30 Friday, but may be subject to variation as required.

This is a challenging yet varied and rewarding position. The core focus is providing administrative support to operation and frontline services which includes:

* Managing reception, receiving visitors, managing room bookings etc.
* Monitoring the team email box and forwarding/responding to emails as appropriate
* Uploading documents and supporting with case recording, adding case notes to our LCS database.
* Typing up meeting minutes and case notes.
* Sending out referral acknowledgement and closure letters.
* Ordering goods and services,
* Taking telephone calls.


About the Candidate:

You will be subject to personal and sensitive information, therefore confidentiality when dealing with written and spoken communication is essential. Applicants must have good communication skills, word processing and other IT skills, strong organisational skills and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
