We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our lovely three form entry junior school in Colchester. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils across Key Stage 2. Many of the pupils you support will have complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with additional needs across KS2.
Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom management.
Supporting additional interventions to help pupils make progress.
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has a genuine interest in working within education and training.
Has experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or Dyslexia (desirable but not essential).
Is patient, proactive, and enthusiastic.
Works well as part of a team and supports the wider school community.
Is committed to making a difference in a supportive Colchester school environment.
