An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a forward-thinking and down-to-earth team. They are currently undergoing a significant expansion, including a new mezzanine with dedicated dental and CT suites, ensuring the facilities match their clinical excellence.
About the Practice & Location:
Located in a vibrant area of Buckinghamshire, the practice is perfectly situated with excellent transport links, including fast rail access to London (approx. 40 mins) and proximity to Luton Airport. The local area offers a fantastic balance of urban amenities—such as theatres, indoor skydiving, and a snow dome—and over 4,500 acres of parkland and lakes. The practice is a proud holder of Investors in the Environment (Green Status) and is an ISFM Silver Cat-Friendly Clinic, proving that sustainability and feline welfare are at the heart of what they do.
About the Role and Team:
This is a collaborative environment consisting of a large, diverse team including 10 Vets (including an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery), 8 RVNs, and a dedicated support staff. The role involves managing a varied caseload with genuine scope to develop sub-specialty interests.
The facilities are top-tier, featuring:
* Imaging & Diagnostics: GE Revolution ACT (32 slice) CT, Logic R8 Ultrasound, and flexible scopes.
* Surgery: Advanced orthopaedic equipment (TPLO, ESF) and three theatres.
* Specialized Care: Dedicated dental suite, K-Laser, and an in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy service.
* Work-Life Balance: A 4-day working week with a fixed day off and a 1:4 weekend rota. There are no OOH or nights, as these are covered externally.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* 5+ years of post-graduate small animal experience.
* Confidence in routine soft tissue surgery and medical work-ups.
* A growth mindset with an interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to clinical audits.
* Whether you're already a certificate holder, currently studying, or have the ambition to embark on a certificate in surgery, medicine, imaging, ECC, or dentistry, your application and clinical growth will be fully supported and encouraged.
* A desire to practice high-quality medicine in a sustainable, eco-conscious setting.

* Salary: £55,000–£65,000 (DOE), with higher brackets for Certificate Holders or Advanced Practitioners.
