Role overview: Join a multi-disciplinary team within Jacobs Water and Environment Business Unit to deliver River Engineering and Flood Risk Management solutions including flood defence structures, weirs, gates, sluices, flood storage reservoirs, natural flood management, habitat creation, hydrometric gauging facilities and fish passes. The team works with Environment Agency, SEPA, water companies and major infrastructure providers on diverse catchment management projects.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects for clients such as the Environment Agency, SEPA, water companies and major infrastructure providers.
* Contribute to identifying environmental flow targets, design river restoration schemes, and use modelling software to map flood risk and protect homes from flooding.
* Engage in on-the-job learning with support from managers and mentors; develop across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, supporting the company strategy, and your technical interests.
* Customise your learning journey to reflect your interests, career goals and technical skillset within the Graduate Development Programme (GDP).
What you’ll need
* Be working towards a Masters level qualification in Hydrology
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
