Offer description

You will be accountable to the gym manager and support them in running day-to-day operations at the gym. You will provide excellent customer service for our valued members and help the gym to reach its maximum potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Front Desk Operations:

· Greeting members and visitors as they enter the gym.

· Managing member entries, membership sign-ups, and renewals.

· Answering phone calls, and addressing inquiries.

1. Membership Support:

· Assisting members with membership-related queries and changes

· Explaining membership plans, services, and benefits to potential members.

· Processing payments and assisting with membership cancellations.

1. Customer Assistance:

· Resolving member concerns, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.

· Providing information about gym facilities and equipment usage including showing potential customers around

· Providing gym inductions where required

· Serving customers in the supplement shop with stock as well as pre-workouts & shakes

1. Sales and Promotions:

· Promoting gym services, programs, and special offers to current and potential members.

· Encouraging upsells, such as pre-workouts, protein shakes and sunbed tokens.

· Participating in marketing activities to attract new members.

1. Facility Maintenance and Cleaning:

· Ensuring the reception and common areas are clean and organized.

· Monitoring equipment for maintenance needs and reporting any issues.

· Completing all required cleaning tasks in the gym and changing room and toilet areas

· Contributing to daily checklists to maintain high standards of cleanliness within the gym

1. Administrative Tasks:

· Maintaining and inputting accurate member records on our Ashbourne system, and managing paperwork.

· Supporting other administrative duties as assigned by management.

1. Health and Safety Compliance:

· Enforcing gym policies and safety regulations for members' well-being.

· Assisting in emergency procedures and ensuring a safe environment.

· Conducting regular checks on the facility for any potential hazards.

1. Communication and Customer Relations:

· Communicating effectively with members, colleagues, and management.

· Building rapport and fostering a positive relationship with members.

· Soliciting and providing feedback to improve overall service quality.

1. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a seamless member experience.

· Assisting trainers or instructors as needed during sessions.

· Participating in staff meetings and training sessions.

GYM OPENING LATE NOVEMBER

AM Shift - 6am start

PM Shift - 10pm close

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week

Work Location: In person
