Sub Agent

Southampton

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Sub Agent to join the Southern Water team, a Galliford Try business.

You will be located in the Southampton area primarily based on the key project site office for a large cross country pipeline are looking for candidates who are an experienced Sub Agent professional that wants to be part of a growing a team and making a difference.

What you will be doing:

1. General Site Management including producing and managing the programme and supervising the successful deliver of it.
2. Ensuring day to day compliance of HS&E and quality, in line with company procedures.
3. Ensure that site diaries and all other records are kept up to date.
4. Maintaining key relationships with stakeholders and sub-contractors.
5. Weekly and monthly reporting
6. Day to day management of section of works including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and supply chain.
7. Progress and performance reporting to the Senior Agent.
8. Ensure risk assessment and method statements, permit to work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are carried out.
9. Ensure that daily and weekly and monthly inspections are carried out as per the BMS requirements.
10. Ensure that the QA and ITPs is produced updated and followed.

Experience and Qualifications:

11. Demonstrable experience and understanding of managing and working at Sub Agent level (minimum years)

12. Industry qualifications, HNC/D or higher

13. Good understanding of engineering / construction principles and practices

14. Understanding of legislation and standards

15. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes (or similar engineering industry)

16. Application of CDM Health and Safety duties including understanding and managing design and technical risk

17. CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, IOSH in Environmental or equivalent

18. Good general IT skills including software using MS Excel and document management systems

19. Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to concisely present information

20. Problem-solving and analytical abilities

21. Demonstrable ability to manage people

22. Temporary Coordinator

23. Water Hygiene trained.

24. EUSR & USC
