Overview
Assistant SENCo position at The Grange Therapeutic School, part of Acorn Education. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm. Permanent contract, term time only plus 5 training days. UK applicants only. This role includes participation in the 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, with pay at full-time rates while working reduced hours.
Location: The Grange Therapeutic School, Knossington, Oakham LE15 8LY. Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (not pro rata).

Responsibilities
* Liaise with parents/carers about pupil needs and provided provisions.
* Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to review SEND provision and local offers; support development with the LA and local partners.
* Identify patterns in SEN referrals with the therapy team, teaching staff and SLT to improve teaching quality.
* Act as a point of contact for external agencies and ensure appropriate provision is provided.
* Plan and chair annual reviews for pupils with Education, Health and Care plans; prepare reports and ensure SEND code of practice compliance.
* Ensure teaching staff have up-to-date EHCPs and pupils work toward correct targets.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
* Completed the SENCO qualification or willingness to complete within the next two years.
