As a Construction Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You play a central role in delivering a major nuclear construction project that will shape the next generation of clean energy infrastructure. You lead the safe and effective delivery of construction activities on site, driving performance, managing risk, and ensuring that critical milestones are achieved during the construction phase over the next 2-3 years.
Responsibilities
* Lead the safe and efficient management of construction activities on site.
* Deliver key project milestones, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
* Work closely with the Construction Manager, design teams, and other delivery partners to resolve issues and maintain progress.
* Oversee complex installation work within legacy structures, ensuring meticulous planning and control.
* Act as the accountable point of contact for all construction deliverables within your allocated scope.
This role is based in Stoke Gifford, Bristol, working 38 hours per week (with the potential to increase to 44 hours). Travel to Bridgewater, Somerset and occasional visits to Warrington, Cheshire will be expected.
Essential Experience
* Demonstrated experience in construction project management, ideally within complex or highly regulated environments.
* Proven background in delivering construction phases of large-scale projects.
* Strong understanding of safety, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience liaising with engineering and design teams.
* Nuclear construction experience is desirable.
Qualifications
* IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
* APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
