Teaching Personnel is currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced part time Construction Teacher for a SEMH provision to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while teaching a subject that is both practical and career-focused.
The Role:
As a Construction Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in construction-related subjects, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed. You will engage with students in practical and theoretical learning, equipping them with the skills necessary for the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective construction lessons to students with SEMH needs.
* Differentiate learning to cater to the diverse needs of the students.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and encourage positive progress.
* Maintain classroom equipment and resources in good working condition.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Essential:
o Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
o Strong subject knowledge and passion for construction.
o Experience teaching in a school setting, preferably with SEMH or SEN students.
o Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Desirable:
o A background in construction or related vocational qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
