About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the UCL P-ACE team. In this role, you will manage and participate in a series of ‘sand-pit’ events that will bring together an invited group of academics and stakeholders to participate in structured brainstorming sessions. There will be five one-day in-person events, one for each of the five UCL P-ACE Areas of Research Interest - building and maintaining public trust; crime prevention; identification and tracing; surveillance and sensing; and analytics. The sand-pits will bring together leading talents from across industry, policing and academia to generate suggestions for future research, and to select those that have the greatest potential to realise real-world impact. The central purpose is to arrive at a co-developed prioritised list of research areas which will then inform the primary research supported by the UCL P-ACE.
About you
The successful candidate will have an MSc in Crime Science, Criminology or a related field. They will have experience in managing events involving academics, practitioners and others, and in working with senior professionals from these fields. They will be organised and self-motivated, and they will have the ability to summarise technical discussions in plain English. Please see the job description and person specification for full details.
