Offer description

37.5 hours per week, includes working alternate weekends.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Planning and facilitating stimulating activities, promoting independence and choice to meet customer needs.
2. Controlling and maintaining the stock of activities equipment, materials and resources within a given budget.
3. Comply with CQC essential standards and improve the quality of customer’s lives.

Required knowledge & experience:

4. Ideally previous experience of organising activities within a care setting.
5. Understanding of the types of activities older people enjoy.
6. Knowledge of health & safety in the workplace.


Required skills:

7. Creative flair with a range of practical skills e.g. arts & crafts.
8. Ability to motivate and engage people with good negotiation skills.
9. Ability to plan a calendar of activities.
10. Able to create an environment where customers feel able to participate and contribute ideas.
11. Able to work as part of a team and individually.
12. Basic PC skills.

Opened in the Autumn of 2022, Wharfeside is a fabulous pupose built home to provide excellent care for residents with varying degrees of support.

Built over 3 floors with 66 beds and including a dementia floor, we have roles to engage all.
