Our client is a well-established and highly regarded provider of advanced manufacturing solutions, supporting customers across precision engineering, aerospace, automotive and general manufacturing.
We are now looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Engineer Manager to support continued growth across both CNC machine tools and integrated automation solutions.
The Role of Business Development Manager
It is a broad, commercially focused position that sits across:
* New business development
* Technical sales
* Proposals
* Solution development
* Customer engagement
You will work across a diverse portfolio including:
* CNC machine tool sales
* Machine tending solutions
* Automated inspection systems
* Bespoke automation projects
The role offers the opportunity to engage with customers from initial enquiry through to solution development, combining technical understanding with commercial ownership.
Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across key manufacturing sectors
* Engage with customers to understand production challenges and requirements
* Propose integrated solutions across CNC and automation offerings
* Support the development of technical and commercial proposals
* Build long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor
* Collaborate internally with applications, engineering and leadership teams
* Work with existing clients to advise on the integration automated systems as well as future machine ugrades.
The suitable candidate for Business Development Manager will need to have the following skills and experience
* Technical sales / sales engineering
* Business development within manufacturing and/or automation
* Proposals / pre-sales engineering looking to move into a more commercial role
* CNC machining or machine tool environment
* A strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes
* The ability to engage customers at both technical and commercial levels
* A proactive, relationship-led approach to business development
* An interest in developing broader commercial responsibility
