Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business. Ideally, you will be based in or around the Normanton area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region. You will work on our Yorkshire Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will support the Project Delivery Team and be responsible for the project management of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil installation schemes.

You will be responsible for the daily management of multiple concurrent projects across the Framework to ensure successful delivery against project KPIs, ensuring all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, including CDM regulations, and Environmental legislation. Your role forms an essential link in the supply chain, liaising with other departments such as tendering and design to allocate resources and ensure client requirements are fully achieved. You will coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams. You will demonstrate flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships, maintaining strong ethical standards with openness and honesty.

You will assume responsibility for the financial performance of each project, including overall Profit/Loss on contracts undertaken. You will participate in monthly financial reviews for all schemes with the Commercial Manager, ensuring that all Project Engineers have prepared accurate financial performance reports. Working with the Project Planner, you will develop and maintain a detailed project programme to drive key deliverable milestones. You will help determine preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions with the Project Delivery team to lead optimisation and performance. Our aim is to create and maintain an environment where care for our people and those who work with us is our top priority.

You will be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others, promoting a safe and collaborative working environment that supports our Health, Safety and Environment culture.

With an impressive order book of over £3.8 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, offering stability and opportunities to stretch your capabilities and achieve long-held career goals. You will join diverse teams operating at a high professional level with exceptional commitment. Galliford Try is a right place for you if you are committed, talented and enthusiastic.
