We’re looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bolton area, working with students who have complex social, and mental health needs such as high anxiety and behavioural challenges.
This is a deeply rewarding role where you’ll help pupils with EHCPs thrive both academically and emotionally, offering consistent support and encouragement in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised support aligned with individual EHCPs
* Use de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour
* Create a calm, nurturing space that promotes emotional wellbeing
* Support students in the classroom and during structured activities
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Carry out general TA duties including small group interventions

✅ Essential Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary)
* Enhanced DBS for Child & Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain)
* Safeguarding training (provided)
* Two employment references covering the last 2 years
