The Role
Due to an increased project workload, they are now seeking a Freelance 3D Exhibition Designer to support the team through to October 2026. This role will focus on taking initial creative concepts and developing them into highly polished, client-ready designs while ensuring all work aligns with brand guidelines and production requirements.
This is a hands-on design role requiring both creative flair and technical accuracy, including:
• Transforming creative concepts and spatial footprints into high-quality 3D models and photorealistic renders
• Developing exhibition and experiential designs that align with strict corporate brand guidelines
• Refining spatial layouts and integrating client feedback throughout the design process
• Producing compelling visualisations and presentation-ready design materials
• Collaborating closely with internal creative teams to develop concepts through to final approval
• Liaising with fabrication and production suppliers to ensure design intent is successfully delivered onsite
• Reviewing construction drawings and providing technical design input where required
• Producing and reviewing basic technical drawings and documentation
• Acting as a key link between design, client and production teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently
The Candidate
Candidates should ideally have experience within exhibition, congress, experiential or spatial design environments, with a portfolio demonstrating strong creative thinking and technical execution across live projects.
You will be highly proficient in SketchUp and Enscape for 3D modelling and rendering, alongside experience using Vectorworks for technical drafting and drawing review. The ideal candidate will combine strong design capability with excellent attention to detail and a practical understanding of production processes.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly collaborate with creative teams, clients and technical suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
