Medical Education Administrator role at Cheswold Park Hospital. 37.5 hours per week – Fixed Term (Band 3) to cover maternity leave.
Base location: Folly Hall, Huddersfield. There are opportunities to work from home with travel to other sites across the Trust as required.

Main duties of the job
* Act as first point of contact for Medical Education queries in Calderdale and Kirklees, including regular contact with neighbouring NHS trusts.
* Plan and organise psychiatry placements for Resident Doctors; organise and prepare induction programmes for every rotation.
* Ensure each student has a placement supervisor and organise IT network access, email accounts and SystmOne training.
* Provide admin support for the College Tutor for Calderdale & Kirklees; liaise with rota co-ordinators regarding Resident Doctor rotas.
* Organise and take minutes for committee and Resident Doctor Forum meetings; ensure all medical study leave is booked.
* Facilitate MS Teams meetings and medics academic meetings; liaise with Procurement for ordering items.
* Ensure confidentiality and maintain positive service user experience; treat all users with respect and in line with Trust values.

Person Specification
* Essential - Personal attributes: flexible, responsive, presentable, able to travel within the Trust.
* Essential - Qualifications: NVQ 3/RSA III/OCR III or equivalent, or demonstrated competency at level 3.
* Desirable - Willingness for further study/development.
Experience: Essential include recent secretarial/administrative experience, copy/audio typing, minute taking, diary management, and competent use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint. Desirable includes NHS software experience, leadership, customer care, and excellent IT skills.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Essential include good written and verbal communication, data protection awareness, confidentiality, and resilience under pressure. Desirable include information governance knowledge and problem solving skills.
Training: Essential – willingness to undertake mandatory Trust training and ongoing development.
Physical Attributes: Essential – satisfactory sickness record (2 years) and ability to meet Occupational Health requirements with reasonable adjustments if needed.
