ADI now have an opportunity for a Desk Based Account Manager to join our team at our International Head Office in Chadderton, Oldham. As a Desk Based Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers within the Fire & Security sector across the North region. The role focuses on driving sales performance, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering a high level of commercial and operational support to maximise revenue and customer retention.
The role will be working Monday to Friday within a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home).
JOB DUTIES:
Sales & Revenue Growth
1. Drive sales of Fire & Security products and services within an assigned customer base
2. Identify new business opportunities and expand share of wallet within existing accounts
3. Proactively follow up quotations, leads, and inbound enquiries to convert opportunities into revenue
4. Support promotional campaigns and upsell value-added solutions
Account Management
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and project requirements
6. Develop account plans to support long-term growth and retention
7. Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer engagement
8. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Customer Support & Service
9. Provide professional, timely responses to customer queries, orders, and technical requests
10. Support customers through the full sales lifecycle (quotation through to order fulfilment)
11. Work closely with Technical Support, Operations, and Logistics teams to resolve issues
Commercial & Operational Excellence
12. Accurately process quotations and orders in line with company processes
13. Maintain CRM and customer records to track opportunities, pipeline, and activity
14. Monitor sales performance against targets and identify areas for improvement
Collaboration & Internal Engagement
15. Work collaboratively with field sales, key account teams, and technical specialists
16. Support wider business initiatives to drive efficiency, automation, and customer experience improvements
17. Share market and customer insights with the wider business
YOU MUST HAVE:
18. Proven experience in a sales or account management role (Fire & Security experience desirable)
19. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities
20. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
21. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, desk-based environment
22. Good IT skills, including CRM and order management systems
