Legal and Information Governance Manager
Up to £61,425 per year
Option for five-days-in-four condensed week
This is a senior role with a wide remit across legal services, information governance, data protection and land charges. The successful candidate will shape how the organisation manages risk, takes decisions and delivers services, while leading a compact team that makes a clear difference day to day.
You will head up a team of seven: three Senior Legal Officers, two Paralegals, a Senior Information Governance Officer and a Land Charges and Information Governance Technician. The employer is open to candidates who bring strong leadership and legal expertise even if their DPO experience is still developing.
Key responsibilities
Provide clear, practical legal advice across the organisation
Support the Monitoring Officer on governance matters
Lead the Legal, Information Governance and Land Charges team
Oversee information governance, manage data incidents
Oversee budgets and commission external legal support
You will bring
A legal qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX
Strong grounding in information governance and data protection
The ability to work with senior stakeholders and elected members
A calm, steady approach to complex decision-making

Salary: £59,012 to £61,425 per year
