We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to join our leadership team in West Kent on a 1-year secondment as one of three General Managers in the West Kent Directorate.
This role is essential in achieving success through our improvement journey and requires someone skilled at building and maintaining internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners.
The successful candidate will work closely with professional heads, the Deputy Service Director, and Service Managers to ensure the quality of clinical services, including patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, meets high standards. General Managers will oversee a portfolio of services, understanding ongoing transformation work and supporting teams in achieving Key Performance Indicators.
Working with the Senior Management Team and reporting to the Service Director, they will ensure services are fit for purpose and that their teams are motivated and efficient, with a focus on excellent clinical outcomes and engagement.
Main duties of the job
General Managers are responsible for the overall management of nominated services within the Directorate. They will collaborate with colleagues across relevant teams to ensure excellent clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. They will be part of the Senior Leadership Team alongside other General Managers, the Deputy Director, and various clinical and service leaders.
They may also oversee additional specialist or 'place'-based services as needed and will play a key role in liaising with Local Care Partnerships to support the integration agenda.
